Brother Sun & Sister Moon
I read this in a collection of tales some years ago, and then I heard it told by several tellers. I discovered that there were Native American versions of this story as well as a Caribbean version. I have no doubt there are many other versions of which I know nothing. It is about the perils of excessive pride and stubbornness.
